I am a Japanese-American-Kiwi who currently work as a senior clinical psychologist and clinical lead for Habit Health, an ACC contract company. I am interested in the areas of depression/anxiety management, psychopharmacology, Asian population, and effects of exercising in mental wellbeing. In my current setting, I deal mostly with pain management, concussion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and mental injury assessments. My other passion is playing the trumpet.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor working in the AOD sector.
I work primarily in residential rehabilitation settings and provide therapeutic services to rural and remote Australians via telehealth in my private practice.
My areas of interest lie in addiction, trauma and program development/evaluation.

I have focussed on improving service response to people experiencing mental health and substance use issues (dual diagnosis) and their Carers for the past 30 years. I have contributed to the development of integrated care tools and resources as well as supporting approaches such as Motivational Interviewing as a way of encouraging practice change. I have trained people in MI from a range of services including mental heal, Alcohol and other drugs and financial counselling services.

I have 20+ years of operational and strategic leadership experience within the Victorian justice system and have been practicing, training and implementing Motivational Interviewing (MI) since 2003. I have a Professional Coaching Certification and I integrate leadership, MI and coaching expertise to support human services leaders to grow better cultures and outcomes.

Motivational interviewing has shaped how I work for decades, and nowhere more than in domestic, family and sexualised violence intervention. As Principal Trainer and co-director of Hall McMaster & Associates, I've spent my career alongside practitioners in criminal justice and violence prevention, helping them hold people accountable while still believing change is possible. I'm still drawn to the same question that started this work: what actually helps people change?

I optimise access to MI by adapting it for the diverse needs of our clients and services.
As an Occupational Therapist and Poet, I integrate MI with Activities, Environments, Sensory Approaches, Trauma Informed Care and Creative Arts and Writing.
My experience spans mental health, addictions, trauma, physical health, pain, disabilities, neurodiversity, education and social and emotional wellbeing.
I have a Masters of Arts focusing on storytelling to empower young people.
